This is already my 5th Lunar New Year in Korea. Ive never spent it with family nor friends… and yet im the loneliest ive ever been.

The more I have to deal with what SHOULD BE grown ass adult men, the more I want to be the single bread winner and have a nice, obedient house-husband.

I’ve really gotten into lifting lately and have enjoyed watching myself move up to heavier weights as i get stronger.
So Im doing the standing side crunch. The one where you hold the dumbell in one hand and bend sideways then use ur abs to lift.
I started at 3 kg and just moved up to 8kg today. Feeling pretty darn strong when a male trainer whom i have never interacted with before (i have a female personal trainer here) comes to tell me im lifting too heavy. He further explains i should do more reps with lighter weights and that heavy lifting will cause my waist to get thicker.
Never mind the fact that he DOES NOT know my personal strength and body, but the fact that he thinks 8kg is “too heavy” and that i should do more reps. I was doing 15 reps x 3 sets per side with the 8kg.
Everything i have read up on building stronger muscles have said if 10 reps is too easy, move up.
Futhermore, what makes him think i want a thinner waist?? Whats “thin” to him? I dont think my waist can get any thicker than it is right now.
Or perhaps, maybe i want a thicker core. Maybe im focusing more on being stronger in general than my waist size. Maybe i want a big butt and thick thighs.
But no… i mean thank god this guy came and saved me from possibly building a thick waist. Because my dream is to be skinny and thin and a size 44….. -.-

Step aside, 먹쉬돈나, I have found my new favorite ddeokbokki chain! You can get it non-spicy if you can’t handle it otherwise, there’s so.much. cheese, and they’ve got freaking rad toppings like that huge fried squid or samgyupsal (as pictured) or - get this - BUFFALO WINGS. Other chains might even have more options in that department! It also tasted heavenly, even if my white blouse didn’t quite survive the trip.

TEMP TEACHING JOB

My school is looking for a temp English teacher to start asap (we’re talking Monday if possible).
The position is teaching science to 2nd and 4th graders. The next 2~3 weeks of lessons will be planned out. Your main job will be teaching, making the final test, and completing report cards.
THIS IS NOT A YEAR CONTRACT. The position is from now until the end of the school year (last day is in Feb). If its a good fit you can re-sign for the new year.
We have a supportive staff and a good team that works well together. 23 hrs a week.

Random late night thoughts
I REALLY dont want to spend new years alone this year. Every year since i came to korea, i have spent new years alone at home.
I dont mind spending christmas alone bc in korea most of us work up to christmas eve and im not big on gifts.
But new years brings about a feeling of change, of starting over and it feels extremely sad to spend it alone…
Im a person of habit though so it will probably end up the same this year.

I never liked her anyway. I admit i liked her fashion and aesthetic so to speak. But she came off completely fake, and this recent incident just proved that.

Passport found!
The internet is awesome and im glad ppl care enough. Someone had put a found ad online for it and because we reported it lost to the police we got a notification that it was at the airport security office.
I guess my sister dropped it while rushing to get to the arex train. In any case, money saved on getting an expedited passport. Also saved a trip to the US embassy.
